A recent survey by China Youth Daily of 1,333 young people found that 89.4% have used smart devices to do chores, and 72.5% believe robots will handle most housework in the future.
Sweeping and mopping (53.6%), laundry and drying (52.7%), and dishwashing (38.1%) rank as the top three tasks delegated to smart home devices.
Among users, 59.0% want better connectivity across devices for whole-home automation, while 53.1% hope robots can tackle more complex tasks. Some also raise concerns about maintenance costs and privacy.
